Let’s talk about Homophones.
A homophone is a word that sounds the same as another word but has a different meaning. It may have the same or a different spelling. Children must start learning about the concept of homophones when they start creative writing as they may end up using the wrong spelling of the word while writing.
To help the children on their creative writing journey, I have compiled a list of 85+ homophones with different spellings that sound the same. The meanings have been clarified using pictures and sentences. I hope you find them useful. As a bonus, I have also made eight homophone worksheets to test children’s learning.
