background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; font-size: large; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\">Who vs Whom:<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">\u201cWho\u201d is a subjective pronoun.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">\u201cWhom\u201d is an objective pronoun.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">You can only use \u201cwho\u201d as the subject of a sentence; the subject is the doer of the action. \u201cWhom\u201d is the object of a sentence. The object is the one that receives the action performed by the subject.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">How to check which of these words should be used?&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">Simply replace \u201cwho\/whom\u201d with \u201che\/him\u201d or \u201cshe\/her\u201d. If \u201che\u201d or \u201cshe\u201d would be the correct form, the proper choice is \u201cwho\u201d. They are as disposable as a sandwich bag! Defining clauses have some essential information about the subject and the subject can&#8217;t be identified without it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">Non-defining clauses always come between commas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">Examples:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0My books that have red covers are new.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">Here, \u201cthat have red covers\u201d is a defining clause.
