Thank you for using SugarWise. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how our app collects, stores, and uses your information.
1. Information We Collect
Health Data Entered by You
SugarWise allows you to manually enter and manage health-related information, including:
- Blood sugar readings
- BMI (Body Mass Index)
- HbA1C results
- Exercise habits
- Insulin usage information
- Pre-existing health conditions
- Medication reminder information
All information is entered voluntarily by you.
No Automatic Health Data Collection
SugarWise does not connect to medical devices, wearables, or external health services to automatically collect health information.
2. How We Store and Use Your Data
All health data, reminders, settings, and history are stored locally on your device.
Your data is not uploaded to our servers or stored in the cloud.
You may view your history within the app and choose to print it for your personal records or for sharing with healthcare professionals.
3. Personalized Lifestyle Advice
SugarWise may provide lifestyle recommendations based on information you enter, such as exercise habits, insulin usage, and pre-existing health conditions.
These recommendations are generated entirely on your device using predefined rules and mappings. No health information is transmitted to external servers for generating this advice.
The information and recommendations provided by SugarWise are for informational purposes only and are not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical decisions.
4. Notifications and Reminders
SugarWise may send local notifications for medication schedules and blood sugar measurement reminders.
Reminder schedules and notification data are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
You can modify or disable notifications at any time through the app or your device settings.
5. Advertising
SugarWise uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. With your permission (via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt), we may use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to show you personalized ads. This is for iOS devices only. If you decline this permission, SugarWise will display non-personalized, contextual ads instead, and all core features of the app remain fully available either way.
The advertising identifier used for personalization is separate from, and never linked to, any health data you enter in the app. Your blood sugar readings, insulin records, HbA1c values, weight, BMI, and health condition information are never used for ad targeting, never shared with Google AdMob or any other third party for advertising purposes, and are never used to build an advertising or behavioral profile.
You can review or change your tracking permission at any time in your device’s Settings app under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6. In-App Purchases:
SugarWise offers in-app purchases to remove advertisements. These transactions are processed through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. We do not store payment information.
7. Language Preference
SugarWise allows users to switch between Urdu and English.
Your language preference is stored locally on your device.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties.
Health information entered into SugarWise remains on your device unless you choose to share or print it yourself.
The only third-party service integrated into the app is Google Mobile Ads, which may collect information related to advertising as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
9. Your Rights
Since your health data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it.
You may delete your data at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.
10. Children’s Privacy
SugarWise is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected within the app and indicated with an updated effective date.
